1. Definitions

  • "We," "Us," or "Our" refers to Kangoo Club Southend and its instructors as service providers.

  • "You" or "Your" refers to the individual accessing or using our website and services.

  • "Service" encompasses Kangoo Jumps® and other fitness programs, activities, sessions, classes, events, whether local or away, provided by us in accordance with these Terms.

  • "Instructors" are qualified International Kangoo Jumps® Instructors: Agnese Bluma, Vita Norkusa, Sarah Manning, Holly-Marie Hailstone.

  • "Kangoo Jumps®" or "KJ®" is a worldwide leading brand for safe mobile rebound exercise using KJ rebound shoes.

  • "Kangoo Club Southend" is a promotional name used to market Kangoo Jumps® fitness programs locally. It is not a registered business but operates with approval from the Kangoo Jumps® Head Office and the official UK distributor Bluma Jumps.

 

2. Applicability of Terms

These Terms apply to all users of our website and services. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of our website and services constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically.

 

3. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our website and services, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Fitness Classes and Health Considerations

  • Participation in our fitness classes involves physical activity and carries inherent risks. By attending, you confirm that you are in good health and capable of participating safely.

  • Certain classes may be unsuitable if you have specific health conditions. Always consult a healthcare professional before beginning any new exercise program.

  • You must inform us of any medical conditions, medications, or circumstances that may affect your ability to participate safely.

  • Kangoo Jumps® rebound shoes must be adjusted according to your shoe size and body weight. Accurate information is essential for safety.

  • Participation is not permitted under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medications that may impair your ability to exercise safely.

  • Arrive at least 5–10 minutes before class to ensure proper warm-up. Late arrivals may be denied entry for safety reasons.

  • Appropriate attire is required: comfortable sportswear, high-support sports bras, and thick or double cotton calf-length socks. Remove loose jewellery before class.

8. Events, Festivals, Workshops, and Projects

  • Participation in events organized or promoted by Kangoo Club Southend requires the use of genuine Kangoo Jumps® rebound shoes. Use of counterfeit or aftermarket products is prohibited and may result in immediate removal without refund.

  • Event participation is voluntary and at your own risk. We are not liable for personal injuries, damages, or losses incurred during events.

  • Tickets and bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable unless the event is cancelled or postponed.

  • Personal arrangements, including travel and accommodation, are made at your own risk. We are not responsible for any associated costs.

  • We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove individuals exhibiting inappropriate behaviour, as determined at our sole discretion.

  • By attending events, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded. We may use such media for promotional purposes without compensation.

9. Licensing Workshops

  • Participants must be 18 years or older and hold a recognized certification in Aerobics, Exercise to Music, or Group Fitness. Certifications in non-land-based exercises (e.g., cycling, aqua aerobics, pole dancing) and Zumba are not accepted.

  • Your participation does not guarantee a successful completion of the workshop. Participants must demonstrate certain understanding and practical skills.

  • Unsuccessful participants have 90 days to retest, with up to three free attempts. Additional attempts incur a fee.

  • Licenses are issued within 30 days of successful completion.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services.

  • Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms is limited to £1.

  • Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation.

 

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kangoo Club Southend, its instructors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our website or services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any rights of a third party.

 

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Fitness Class Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of fitness classes, including but not limited to Kangoo Jumps® Fitness Programs, delivered by Kangoo Club Southend and its authorised instructors ("We", "Us", "Our") in Southend-on-Sea and across the United Kingdom. These apply to all customers who are classified as "Consumers" under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

1. Definitions

  • “Consumer”: As defined by the Consumer Rights Act 2015, an individual acting wholly or mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft, or profession.

  • “Fitness Class”: Any in-person or virtual session involving physical exercise led by Us, including all instruction, equipment, materials, and services provided.

  • “Instructor”: Any person authorised by Us to deliver fitness sessions.

  • “Our Premises”: Locations where We host classes, as listed on our website and subject to change.

  • “Price List”: Our current schedule of fees, available on our website.

  • “PARQ”: The Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire completed prior to participating in a Fitness Class.

  • “Minor”: A participant aged 14–17, permitted only with prior written consent from a parent/legal guardian.

 

2. Joining Our Fitness Classes

To participate, you must:

  • Book via our website, social media accounts, by email, phone, or the contact form;

  • Complete and submit a PAR-Q before your first class;

  • Read and sign the Assumption of Risks and Waiver of Liability Agreement;

  • Be at least 18 years of age unless attending with parental/guardian consent;

  • Confirm that you are fit to participate and accept responsibility for your health;

  • Behaviour must be respectful, safe, and according to our Behaviour Policy;

  • Kangoo Jumps® are not permitted during pregnancy or with known skeletal issues.

By signing up for the class, you declare that you are medically fit and have no conditions that would make exercise unsafe. It is your responsibility to inform us if there is a change to any of your answers on the PAR-Q. You should inform us as soon as possible but before taking part in the next session.

 

3. Participation of Minors (under 18 years of age)

Minors may attend under the following terms:

  • A signed parental/guardian consent form must be submitted;

  • Completed and submitted Youth PAR-Q before the first class;

  • Medical disclosures must be completed by a parent/guardian;

  • Behaviour must be respectful, safe, and according to our Behaviour Policy;

  • No responsibility is accepted for the minor before or after class;

  • Written consent is required if a minor will travel home alone.

 

4. Booking and Membership

Trial Classes

  • 3 trial classes for £23; valid for 1 calendar month;

  • Trials must be paid in advance; unused trials cannot be reclaimed later.

Membership Options

  • 6-week membership: £26

  • 6-month membership: £106

  • 12-month membership: £186
    All memberships must be paid in full in advance.

Pay As You Go (PAYG)

  • £3 per class for members with their own KJ rebound shoes

  • £5 per class for members with boots hire

  • £10 standard class fee for non-members whether or not you own Kangoo Jumps® rebound shoes;

  • Must be paid at the time of booking or before the class starts.

 

5. Missed Sessions

  • Injury or Long-term Illness: You may request a freeze of your membership in writing. Approval is at our sole discretion.

  • No Shows: For trial or PAYG customers, missed sessions are considered attended and are non-refundable. Members are covered under their subscription.

 

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

By Us: We may cancel or reschedule classes due to:

  • Instructor illness or unavailability;

  • Venue issues;

  • Force majeure (events beyond our control).

You will be notified as early as reasonably possible.

By You:

  • 24-hour cancellation policy applies to trial and PAYG bookings: cancellations made within 24 hours of the session are non-refundable;

  • Members are not penalised for late cancellations.

We reserve the right to expel participants for misconduct, behaviour that may damage our reputation, or breach of these Terms. Expelled customers are not entitled to refunds for partially attended packages.

 

7. Fees and Payment

  • Payments must be made by bank transfer unless otherwise agreed;

  • Members will be notified in advance of renewal dates and prices;

  • Promotional offers must be paid in one lump sum;

  • All fees are inclusive of taxes unless otherwise stated. We are not VAT registered.

 

8. Health, Fitness, and Safety

  • Participation is voluntary and at your own risk;

  • Always consult a healthcare provider before beginning any new fitness regime;

  • Inform Us of any condition, medication, or pregnancy in writing before booking;

  • You must not attend under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or any substance that impairs judgement or coordination.

Late arrivals may be refused entry for safety reasons. Equipment must only be used under instruction.

 

9. Equipment Use and Requirements

  • Provide your accurate shoe size and body weight at the time of booking;

  • Wear appropriate clothing (sportswear, high-support sports bra, and calf-length socks);

  • No sharp jewellery or dangling items during class.

 

10. General Conduct and Venue Rules

Participants must not:

  • Smoke or vape on our premises;

  • Chew gum during class;

  • Bring children without prior written permission (and you remain responsible for them);

  • Bring animals (except guide dogs with prior notice);

  • Bring glassware, food, or drinks other than water in closed bottles.

Do not attend if you are ill with symptoms of contagious illness including COVID-19.

 

11. Events Beyond Our Control

We are not liable for non-performance due to events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, power outages, or pandemics. If such events occur, we will communicate as soon as practicable and any obligations will be suspended accordingly.

 

12. Limitation of Liability

  • We are only responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our negligence or breach of contract;

  • We are not liable for indirect or business losses;

  • Our instructors are qualified but do not provide medical advice;

  • Personal belongings are your responsibility unless loss is caused by our negligence;

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes Our liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

 

13. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms without notice but will make reasonable efforts to inform you of significant changes.

 

14. How We Use Your Personal Information

Your data is processed in accordance with the UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy which you should review separately.

 

15. Consumer Contracts Regulations

As required by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, we confirm that the details provided in these Terms form part of our contract with you and include all pre-contractual information.

17. Severability and Waiver

If any clause is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remainder will remain in force. Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of the right to do so later.

 

18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes may be brought in the courts of England, Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland, depending on your residency.

Workshop and Instructor Training Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern participation in Kangoo Jumps Instructor Training programs ("Training") organised by Agnese Bluma ("Organizer") under Kangoo Club Southend. By registering, you agree to comply with the following terms, compliant with current UK laws.

 

1. Definitions

  • "Consumer": Defined by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • "Business": Any trade, craft, or profession carried on by you or another entity.

  • "Data Protection Legislation": The Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK GDPR.

  • "Training": Kangoo Jumps Fitness Programs including Kangoo Power™, Kangoo Dance™, Kangoo Bootcamp™, Kangoo Discovery™, Kangoo Kick&Punch™, and other fitness / aerobic / exercise to music / group fitness or instructor courses.

  • "Organizer": Agnese Bluma and appointed international KJ trainers / mentors.

  • "Premises": Locations where training is delivered (in-person or virtual).

  • "Price List": Available at kangooclubsouthend.co.uk/workshops-events.

 

2. Eligibility

Participants must be 18+, in good health, and are advised to consult a doctor prior to engaging.

 

3. Registration and Payment

a) Full payment and registration are required to secure a place.

b) Payments are non-refundable unless stated otherwise.

c) No VAT is charged.

d) The Organizer may reschedule or cancel the Training; affected participants may choose a refund or a future session.

 

4. Cancellations and Refunds

a) A 14-day cooling-off period applies post-registration. Cancellations within this period receive a full refund minus a £19.49 admin fee.

b) No refunds after 14 days or for non-attendance.

c) Transfers to future sessions are at Organizer discretion for valid reasons.

 

5. Participant Responsibilities

a) Follow all instructions and safety regulations.

b) Use original Kangoo Jumps shoes and equipment responsibly.

c) Strictly follow Code of Conduct. No refund if asked to leave.

d) Do not attend under the influence of substances or medications affecting performance. No refund if asked to leave.

e) Dress appropriately (sportswear, high-support sports bra, calf-length cotton socks, no jewellery).

f) Follow all safety/fire/emergency instructions.

g) Do not attend in-person if ill with contagious illnesses (e.g., COVID-19).

 

6. Certification / Licensing

a) Certification / Licensing is not guaranteed unless certain assessment criteria are met.

b) Participants have 90 days to retest (3 free attempts; £49 thereafter).

c) Licensing is valid for 2 years and must be renewed within 6 months of expiry. Otherwise, full retraining is required.

 

7. Intellectual Property

All training materials are for personal use only. Reproduction or distribution without permission is prohibited.

 

8. Liability Waiver

a) Participation is at your own risk. The Organizer is not liable for injuries or losses.

b) Personal belongings are your responsibility.

 

9. Code of Conduct

a) Respect towards instructors and other participants is mandatory.

b) Disruption or unsafe behaviour may result in removal without refund.

c) Children or visitors may attend only with prior written permission and remain your responsibility at all times.

d) No smoking/vaping or chewing gum is allowed on premises.

 

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Data is processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR. Your data is used only for certification and communication, and will not be shared without consent unless legally required.

 

11. Consumer Rights

These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under:

  • Consumer Rights Act 2015

  • Consumer Contracts Regulations

  • Consumer Protection Act 1987

12. Changes to Terms

Terms may change without prior notice. Reasonable effort will be made to inform participants.

 

13. Regulations Compliance

We comply with all consumer protection regulations. Pre-contract information is provided within these Terms.

Events / Festivals / Projects Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all events organised and/or promoted by Kangoo Club Southend, including but not limited to variety of events, parades, festivals, and projects such as Fit Escape fitness holiday (collectively referred to as the “Event(s)”). Kangoo Club Southend and any persons involved in the organisation of the Event are referred to as the Organiser/Promoter.

1. Official Events

All Events are official Kangoo Jumps® events, organised in coordination with the Kangoo Jumps Head Office and the Official KJ Distributor in the respective host country. Participation in these Events is strictly limited to the use of original, authentic Kangoo Jumps rebound shoes. No exceptions will be made. Any participant found using, promoting, or attempting to enter with aftermarket, counterfeit, or imitation products will be considered in breach of these Terms and/or in violation of Kangoo Jumps' trademark rights. In such cases:

  • Your entry/participation will be immediately cancelled.

  • You will be asked to vacate the venue without refund.

  • The Organiser/Promoter and/or Kangoo Jumps Head Office reserve the right to initiate legal proceedings.

2. Tickets, Bookings & Cancellations

  • All tickets and bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless the Event is cancelled or officially postponed.

  • If a promotional discount code is offered but not applied at the time of booking, retrospective refunds will not be issued.

  • Personal arrangements (e.g. travel, accommodation, meals) made by participants are at their own risk and cost. No compensation will be offered for such arrangements if the Event is cancelled, postponed, or altered for any reason.

3. Force Majeure

The Organiser/Promoter is not liable for any failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, civil unrest, or government restrictions ("force majeure").

4. Conduct, Safety & Security

  • Entry will be refused to anyone appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Strictly prohibited items include (but are not limited to): alcohol, illegal substances, legal highs, glass (except small perfume bottles), candles, gas canisters, flares, knives, laser pens, megaphones, sound systems, nitrous oxide, animals, fireworks, smoke canisters, poles, flags, or banners.

  • The Organiser/Promoter reserves the right to:

    • Refuse entry or remove individuals at its sole discretion for inappropriate, disruptive, or unsafe behaviour.

    • Define what constitutes inappropriate behaviour.

  • All attendees must comply with instructions issued by the Organiser/Promoter, venue staff, security personnel, and stewards at all times.

5. Restrictions on Competing Events

Participants, and any associated individuals or businesses, are strictly prohibited from organising or promoting similar events/projects, e.g. like Fit Escape fitness holiday, within the same geographic area 1 (one) calendar month before or after our event. Breach of this clause may result in legal action.

6. Liability

The Organiser/Promoter, event venue, and any associated instructors or trainers shall not be liable for:

  • Any personal injury, loss, or damage sustained during or outside the Event, except where caused by gross negligence.

  • Lost, stolen, or damaged property. All personal belongings are brought at your own risk.

7. Media & Intellectual Property

  • By entering the Event, you give express consent to being filmed, photographed, or recorded, and to the use of your name, image, and/or likeness in any media for promotional or documentation purposes worldwide, without limitation or compensation.

  • This may include filming by police or security personnel for safety or crime prevention.

  • All materials produced during the Event — including videos, photos, illustrations — are protected by copyright and remain the property of Kangoo Club Southend and Kangoo Jumps Head Office.

  • Such materials must not be used to promote other brands, services, or products. Any misuse will be considered a breach of these Terms and/or a trademark infringement, and may result in legal action.

8. Changes to Terms & Conditions

The Organiser/Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Updated terms will be published as necessary.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
